The Reeth & District Gazette is the free local news magazine of Arkengarthdale and Swaledale.
It carries news of the many activities happening in the two dales, readers' letters, church & chapel events, local parish councils' reports, advance notices of forthcoming events and programs for them and adverts from just about every group, shop and firm in the Dales - in short, if it's happened or about to happen in the two dales, you'll find it here.
Contributions to the Gazette should be sent to the editor, George Lundberg, as described on page 3 or 4 of each month's Gazette. His address & email address appear there.
Please do not send them using the 'contact me' link on these web pages as I have no connection with the Gazette other than making it available online.
I am grateful for permission to reproduce the Gazette here online in pdf* format, but the 'real thing', a paper booklet is much easier to read and is provided free in many shops, hotels and pubs in Swaledale and Arkengarthdale.
The downloads are about 3 to 5 Mb. This is large for dial-up users.
The Gazette is available by post at low cost using the subscription service. Subscription information is available on page 3 or 4 of the Gazette.
The Gazette was first published in 1995. An archive of many of the past issues is available here.
A list of the advertisers in a recent issue of the Gazette will be available here.
